• What is the best time of year to visit Panama?
All year is good to visit Panama.  We have a tropical weather 27°C (70°F)  and two seasons: 

Dry Season – From December to April 

Rainy Season – From May to November 

• What currency is used in Panama, and is it easy to exchange money?

Official currency is the US Dollar

• Is English widely spoken, or do I need to know Spanish?

Spanish is the official language. Also, English is widely spoken. 

• How do I get from Tocumen International Airport to Panama City?

Are there domestic flights or ferries to places like San Blas or Bocas del Toro?

• How can I visit the Panama Canal, and what’s the best time to go?

The Panama Canal has 2 visitors centers.  One is at Miraflores Locks in Panama City and the other is Agua Claras Locks in Colón. 

To plan your visit and be able to appreciate the ships passing through the Locks,  is better to go during the opening hours 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.  or later after 2:00 p.m.

• What should I pack for my trip?

 – Comfortable light clothing (shorts, tshirts, long pants and long-sleeved shirt or t-shirt to avoid bites and scratches, swimwear, hats) 

– Non-slip shoes, suitable for a wet, muddy and slippery road (may vary according to weather conditions), sneakers, flip flops

– Insect repellent and sunscreen

• Where can I go hiking or experience Panama’s natural beauty?

• Are there good spots for snorkeling or diving?

• Can I visit indigenous communities, and how can I arrange this?

What are the best places for shopping or buying local crafts?

• What are the traditional dishes I should try in Panama?

Are there vegan or vegetarian-friendly restaurants?

• Credit cards are widely accepted in the City.  If you travel to the rural areas is better to bring some cash.

Will my phone work in Panama, or should I buy a local SIM card?

Check if your local service provider has connection in Panama.  If not, you can get a SIM card by an affordable price. 

 

• Most places like restaurants, hotels and coffee shops have available Wi-Fi.

Cancellation , Payments & Reservations Policy

  • If you cancel your reservation prior to 48 hours before the trip we will refund 50% of the total cost.

    • Refunds will be made in the same form of payment used for your original reservation.
    • Due to bank processing times, please allow up to 30 days for your refund to be received in your account.

  • If you cancel your reservation less than 48 hours the trip, there will be no refund.  You will be charged the full amount of your original reservation.
  • In the event of reservation abandonment (no show), there will be no refund.  You will be charged the full amount of your original reservation.

  • Whatever the natural reason or phenomenon that puts the safety and life of the participants in risk, EL TRIP DE JENNY can cancel the activity up to one day in advance.   In that case, EL TRIP DE JENNY will inform you via email and there will be a refund of the total cost.

    • Refunds will be made in the same form of payment used for your original reservation.
    • Due to bank processing times, please allow up to 30 days for your refund to be received in your account.
  • EL TRIP DE JENNY accepts cash, Visa and MasterCard.
  • Full payment is due at the time of reservation.  
  • When paying by Visa or Mastercard, it may take a couple days for the charge to appear on your account.
  • Your reservation will be automatically canceled if your credit card is not approved.
  • Reservations should be done at least within 48 hours before your trip departure date.
  • Please review and verify your reservation invoice thoroughly and contact EL TRIP DE JENNY immediately if your invoice appears to be incorrect or incomplete, as it may not be possible to make changes later.

  • El Trip de Jenny cannot accept responsibility if we are not notified of inaccuracies within three (3) days of sending out the invoice.  In the case of billing errors, El Trip de Jenny reserves the right to re-invoice you with correct pricing.
